Salah satu game battle royale Free Fire MAX berhasil memenangkan kategori Game Pilihan Pengguna tahun 2021.

Free Fire Jadi Game Terbaik eSports Award 2021

Free Fire jadi game mobile terbaik 2021 kalahkan Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Game battle royale dari Garena tersebut berhasil memenangkan penghargaan kategori 'Mobile Game of The Year'.

Ajang tersebut dipelopori oleh Esports Awards 2021 yang digelar pada Sabtu (20/11/2021).

Ini merupakan kedua kalinya Free Fire memenangkan penghargaan Mobile Game of the Year.

Free Fire sebelumnya juga menerima penghargaan yang sama pada 2020 lalu.

Adapun Esports Awards 2021 sendiri adalah ajang tahunan yang digelar untuk mengapresiasi seluruh tokoh di industri game.

Di kategori Mobile Game of the Year tahun ini, Free Fire berhasil mengalahkan sejumlah game mobile populer lainnya.

Di antaranya adalah Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, Clash Royale, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Brawl Stars.

Dan lawan tangguh Free Fire di nominasi tersebut adalah game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Seperti dikutip dari Kompas Tekno (23/11/2021) rasa bangga terucap oleh Esports Global Manager Garena, Justin Lye.

“Saya dan seluruh tim Garena merasa terhormat dan senang telah memenangkan penghargaan ini," ujar Justin Lye.

"Kami mendedikasikan kemenangan tersebut untuk komunitas global Free Fire, para pemain, penonton, dan partners,” imbuhnya.

Selain itu Free Fire juga menerima penghargaan lainnya di kancah nasional sebagai “Game Esports Terfavorit”.

Penghargaan tersebut diberikan kepada Free Fire oleh Indonesian Esports Awards 2021.

Penghargaan ini juga merupakan kedua kalinya untuk game battle royale tersebut.

Posisi Free Fire sebagai game e-sports kini sah sebagai game paling diminati di Indonesia.

Daftar Pemenang Esports Awards 2021

Selain kategori Mobile Game of the Year, ada beberapa penghargaan di kategori lainnya dalam ajang Esports Awards 2021.

Kategori "Game of the Year", dimenangkan oleh game peperangan dengan elemen taktis populer besutan Riot Games, Valorant.

Sebagai pengembang game, Riot Games sendiri tahun ini membawa pulang dua penghargaan Esports Awards 2021.

Valorant juara dalam kategori "Publisher of the Year" dan "Broadcast/Production Team of the Year".
