Dilansir dari Variety, Senin, dalam potongan video yang beredar di media sosial, pukulan itu dilayangkan Will Smith usai Chris Rock membuat lelucon tentang istrinya, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Chris Rock didapuk jadi pembaca nominasi film dokumenter Oscar 2022.

Sebelum menjalankan tugasnya, Chris Rock membuat lelucon tentang Jada Pinkett Smith yang baru-baru ini mencukur rambutnya sampai habis.

Dia membandingkannya dengan Demi Moore yang sempat gundul demi film "G.I Jane". Dilansir dari AFP, Rock menyarankan Jada mucnul dalam sekuel film tersebut.

Sebagai informasi, Jada Pinkett Smith menggunduli rambutnya usai berjuang melawan Alopecia, kerontokan yang disebabkan oleh penyakit autoimun.

Will Smith yang duduk di kuris penonton sempat tertawa.

Namun tak lama dia berdiri dari tempat duduknya dan berjalan cepat ke atas panggung.

Chris Rock tampak terkejut melihat kemunculan Will Smith, tapi dia masih tertawa bersama para penonton.

Saat itulah Will Smith langsung meninju wajah Chris Rock dan sorakan penonton terdengar seketika.

"Jauhkan nama istriku dari mulut sialanmu!" teriak Will Smith saat kembali ke kursinya.

Tragedi itu mendadak jadi perbincangan hangat di media sosial hingga kata kunci Will Smith dan Chris Rock masuk jajaran trending topic Twitter.
