The Importance of Reading

I think that reading is an important activity in our lives. Why is this why this is the case?

First, through reading we can get a lot of information about many things in the world. None other than, science, technology, sports, art, culture and so on.

Secondly, through reading we can get a lot of news and knowledge related to something that is happening in the world that we can see firsthand.

Third, reading can give us pleasure. Even when we are tired, we can read books, newspapers or magazines in entertainment columns such as short stories, comedies or quizzes to relax more.

Fourth, through reading can take us to other parts of the world. For example, by reading a book about Irian Jaya we may feel that we are really sitting in the forest, not at home or in our room.

Based on the above facts, it is clear that everyone needs and the importance of reading such as books, newspapers, magazines or so on to acquire knowledge, news, information and entertainment. Another sense that reading is essential in our daily lives.
