Dalam Unit 2 yang berjudul "Argumentative Text: E-Money", siswa tidak hanya diajak untuk mengenali struktur dan tujuan teks argumentatif secara pasif, tetapi juga aktif mempraktikkannya melalui berbagai keterampilan berbahasa, salah satunya adalah Speaking.

• Melalui Activity 1 dan Activity 2 pada halaman 68–70, siswa dilatih untuk:
• Mengungkapkan pendapat secara lisan dengan struktur argumentatif yang tepat,
• Menggunakan ekspresi bahasa yang sesuai untuk menyampaikan dan menanggapi argumen,
• Berkomunikasi secara percaya diri dan logis, sesuai konteks pembicaraan.

Kegiatan ini juga melatih siswa untuk menyusun argumen secara sistematis, mendukungnya dengan alasan yang kuat, dan menyampaikannya dalam bahasa Inggris yang komunikatif dan natural. Dengan latihan ini, siswa diharapkan tidak hanya memahami isi teks argumentatif, tetapi juga mampu menerapkannya dalam situasi nyata, baik dalam diskusi kelas maupun kehidupan sehari-hari.

Catatan penting untuk siswa:
Demi hasil belajar yang optimal, sangat disarankan untuk mengerjakan semua aktivitas secara mandiri terlebih dahulu. Ini akan membantu mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi sebelum membandingkan hasilnya dengan kunci jawaban.

Answers:

1. Personally, I believe La Ode invited Sri because she is a social media influencer who could inspire young entrepreneurs.
2. To be honest, I’m sure that Sri’s idea is correct, because money will always play an important role in our daily life.
3. In my opinion, I agree with Sri because cashless payment makes transactions easier and more convenient. However, I reckon that people also need to be careful not to overspend.
4. Generally speaking, I think that being a social media influencer is a good profession as long as they use their influence in a positive way.
5. It goes without saying that the pandemic accelerated the shift to cashless payments, and I feel that this trend will continue in the future.

• Card 1 – What differences do you see between Baduy dalam and Baduy luar in the pictures?
  I think it is obvious that Baduy dalam still uses traditional ways such as trading bananas directly, while Baduy luar already adapts to modern lifestyle by using smartphones and e-money.
• Card 2 – What do you think about the lifestyle of Baduy dalam people?
  In my view, their lifestyle shows strong commitment to tradition and simplicity. Even without modern tools, they can still live peacefully and sustainably.
• Card 3 – How do you feel about Baduy luar people using e-money?
  Personally, I feel that it helps them connect with the outside world. E-money makes transactions faster and safer, especially when buying goods in town.
• Card 4 – Do you agree that modernization is necessary for indigenous people like the Baduy?
  I reckon that modernization is useful, but it should be limited. They need technology for practical needs, but their traditions must still be respected.
• Card 5 – What lessons can we learn from the Baduy community?
  To be honest, I’m sure that we can learn about living in harmony with nature, being disciplined in preserving culture, and at the same time being open to good changes
