Pelaksanaan TKA untuk kelas 12 akan dibagi menjadi dua gelombang, yaitu pada 3–4 November 2025 dan 5–6 November 2025, serta satu gelombang khusus pada 8–9 November 2025.

TKA merupakan asesmen terstandar yang berfungsi untuk mengukur kemampuan akademik siswa dalam berbagai mata pelajaran. Meskipun sifatnya tidak wajib, siswa yang berencana mengikuti TKA sebaiknya mulai mempersiapkan diri sejak dini, salah satunya dengan berlatih mengerjakan soal-soal TKA.

Salah satu mata pelajaran yang diujikan adalah Bahasa Inggris, yang menjadi mapel wajib bagi siswa kelas 12 SMA/SMK sederajat.
