If not controlled, these actions could lead to the extinction of important marine species, collapse of fish populations, and disruption of the ocean food chain.

It’s important for governments, industries, and consumers to support sustainable fishing—through regulated catch limits, selective gear to reduce bycatch, marine protected areas, and responsible consumption. Raising awareness through education and media like this is also a great way to build empathy and action for ocean conservation.
